So... I'm a bit of a princess and like having a tv in the bedroom. It does help me go to sleep though - particularly when the guy upstairs is stomping around at 11pm. However this whole digital tv thing has really stuffed up my tv in bedroom plans. I don't have a tv outlet in my bedroom so I use rabbit ears... not so good for digital tv apparently. Firstly - don't buy $25 rabbit ears from mitre 10 - they don't work! So next week I'm going to have to trial the following... fingers crossed.

Even $80 aerials from Harvey Norman don't work... one last try and then I might have to do make some drastic changes!

Courtyard
My courtyard needs a revamp... not too sure what to do with it yet but perhaps a couple of big pot plants and some solar lights like mirabela solar-powered lights (pack of 4) for $24.99 at mitre 10.
Outdoor Table from Bunnings? ... Painted Blue?
I'm skeptical but will try it out.... painting outdoor table blue will commence this weekend!

Arco Floor Lamp
I have been dreaming about this lamp for years and I'm finally going to bite the bullet and buy one. But now I can't decide whether I want flat circular base or block base and whether I want white or black marble.... HELP ME DECIDE!!!
Note that the square block base is an extra $60 (not that much more)... and it has a more discrete insert into the lamp shade (the circular based insert into lamp shade is shown below... unfortunately I haven't been able to get a photo of the more discrete insert from the block base). I should comment that these photos are taken from Life Interiors - http://www.lifeinteriors.com.au/. I am leaning towards the flatter base because it doesn't go so high and I'm worried it may not fit - but I will check these details when I finally move back into my apartment.

Coffee Table
My grandfather was a carpenter. Unfortunately he died before I was born, but my father has kept the furniture he created. One of the pieces was a coffee table with blue glass in the top. A very unique piece. The wood was a silky oak wood, which my father thinks is beautiful wood. Unfortunately, though, in this day and age, blue glass with silky oak wood looks quite outdated. You can see what I mean....
Over Christmas I decided it was going to be my project to reinvigorate the table... I painted the wood white. My grandfather is probably rolling in his grave... but at least the table is going to be used... so the first piece to go in my new apartment... the blue glass table below:
